Jason Page

My Story

My name is Jason Page, and I am running for Mayor to serve you in Leeds and the Thousand Islands. Following a fulfilling 19-year career in the Canadian Armed Forces and retiring as a Captain in 2015, I have dedicated my life to service, country, and community. I will bring that lifelong commitment to work for our township.

During my time in uniform, I served as a Battery Commander, Adjutant, and Operations & Training Officer. I was trusted to manage safety protocols for use of high explosives, to train medical personnel, train junior leaders, mentor junior officers, and lead through example.  I responsibly oversaw unit budgets that utilized a decentralized funding structure. My career was built on operational excellence and strict fiscal accountability, earning me multiple commendations for leadership and courageous actions. I know how to manage large public funds, navigate complex logistics, and deliver results under pressure with integrity.

But true leadership dosn't end when the uniform comes off. Since retiring, I have focused my energy on the community we love and as a stay-at-home dad. Whether I am cooking at the Rockport Winter Carnival, fundraising with Rotary Club of Gananoque to support food programs for our kids in TLTI, or supporting civilians in crisis overseas in war torn Ukraine, I roll up my sleeves and show up for my neighbours.

With a background that combines a B.A. from Brock University, an HR Diploma from St. Lawrence College, and a Certificate in Disaster Management from the Chang School, I offer a unique blend of practical governance and a servant’s heart. I am ready to ensure our local government is open, fiscally responsible, and deeply focused on the needs of every resident.

Let us build a stronger future for Leeds and the Thousand Islands together.
